Kap Young RYU, Secretary General of the Korea Gas Union(KGU), attended the International Gas Union(IGU) Executive Committee Meeting and IGRC2011 3rd PC Meeting, which were held on April 6-8 in Bali, Indonesia.

On the agenda of the EXC Meeting were the appointment of Regional Coordinators, the evaluation of WGC2009 and the preparations for the 25th World Gas Conference(WGC), which is scheduled for June 4-8, 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

At the IGRC2011 3rd Policy Committee(PC) Meeting, finance and sponsoring of IGRC2011, host for IGRC2014 and report from National Organizing Committee(NOC) etc were under discussion. As chairman of the National Organizing Committee of IGRC2011, Kap Young RYU made a presentation regarding venue, accommodation and promotion of IGRC2011 etc.

IGRC2011 Sponsorship program has already received strong support from the world’s major companies dedicated to energy business. The total amount of the sponsorship fee is currently almost 220,000 Euros which is from KOGAS, GDF SUEZ, Gasunie, Japan Gas Association, Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Toho Gas, KEMA and KIWA.
