KGU Took Part in GASEX Steering Committee Meeting

Kap Young RYU, Secretary General of the Korea Gas Union(KGU), attended the 3rd Steering Committee meeting of GASEX2010, which was held on May 25-26 in Hong Kong.

On the agenda were the reports on the preparation for the GASEX2010, including keynote speaker allocation, member economy report schedule, chairman for each session, social program and exhibition etc.

The biennial GASEX conference & exhibition is the only forum dedicated to the Natural Gas Industry in the Western Pacific Asia region. GASEX has been held for 20 years and become one of the most important events in the Western Pacific region to confront the challenges in gas utilization safety & reliability, high-efficiency of gas technology; reduce carbon emissions to the environment and all aspects related to gas industries.

The 11th Gas Information Exchange in the Western Pacific(GASEX 2010) will be held on 24-26 November 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan under the theme “Pursuing Cooperative Paradigm on Energy, Environment and Economy”. The conference focuses on the best practices among Energy Supply Security, Technology and Innovation, Applications of Gas, City Gas Business, Sustainability and Strategies and Alternative Transportation Fuels.

KGU hosted GASEX '98 in Seoul and approximately 500 people participated from 24 countries.
