KGU to Hold the 2nd IGU PGC C Meeting

The 2nd IGU Programme Committee C (PGC C) meeting of the 2009-2012 Triennium will be held in Seoul on September 28 - October 1, under the co-auspices of the KGU and the Korea Gas Corporation(KOGAS). The meeting includes parallel Study Group meetings.

Headed by the Committee Chairman, Mr. João Batista De Toledo of Petrobras, PGC C is composed of three Study Groups namely ASEAN and North East Asia (developing), North America and Europe/Russia.

The objective of PGC C is to analyse the gas markets in both developed and developing countries and draw lessons regarding efficient introduction of gas markets and further improvements in energy security.

At this 2nd meeting, about 25 members are expected to attend and on the closing day technical tour program to the Incheon LNG terminal of the KOGAS will be followed to provide a better understanding of the Korean gas industry.
